Community Outreach

Business with heart

One of the defining characteristics that makes our collective so unique is that every member is passionate about community advocacy. All of our doulas are responsible for attending at least one community based event each month.

You can find FBC doulas everywhere..

from setting up informational booths at Fresno's annual breastfeeding walks to speaking to teen moms at a local nonprofit downtown. They are members at virtually every birth and family related organization in the valley, from the Fresno County Preterm Birth Initiative to the Maternal Wellness Coalition.

Their passion for service shines through on every level. They serve in multiple capacities, such as volunteers for families in need, facilitating pregnancy and postpartum support groups, and as advocates and educators for some of Fresno's most vulnerable populations.

Furthermore, our seasoned doulas happily recruit and mentor student doulas. They believe that expanding and diversifying the birthing community is beneficial for everyone. If you are interested in pursuing birth work, click our "contact us" button to send us an email and connect.

Check this section often, as this is where we will add photos and information about our latest outreach events.

"Volunteering is at the very core of being human. Nobody has made it though life without someone else's help."
